In the 9th Five year plan, for overall planning of Digitization of Land Maps of all the villages of all the Districts of the State and for its implementation fund of Rs. 17.85 Crore has approved by the Board of Ministers on 18.04.2004.
For Digitization of Land Maps to be done through private vendor, the Bid document has approved by the Government on 29.10.2006.
In 2007-08 After completing the e - tendering process of approved Bid document, five companies are selected and the work order has been issued on 05.04.2008.At present work of Digitization of Land Maps is in progress in 7 Districts ( Gwalior, Satna, Jabalpur, Indore, Bhopal, Sehore and Harda) of the State.
On the Digitization of Land Maps approximately the expenditure of 18.00 crore is probable. For digitization of Land Maps, in the financial year 07-08, Rs. 987.746 Million have been provided by the Government of India, Ministry of Rural Development.
Proposal for utilization of this fund in digitization of Land Maps has been sent to the Government of India. After the digitization of Land Maps, the process of linking these Maps with computer Data (Khasra) is to be done. Through this proceeding, the computerized copies of Khasra and Maps relating to their Land can be provided to the account holders of the State, Computerized Khasra and Maps will be updated together so that the transparency and credibility of Land records will remain.
